The Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival is held each year at North Glenmore Park, one of Calgary’s most scenic waterfront destinations. Located along the shores of the Glenmore Reservoir, the park provides a beautiful natural setting for two exciting days of dragon boat racing, cultural performances, family activities, food, entertainment, and community celebration.

The festival grounds are located near the Calgary Canoe Club, where spectators can enjoy excellent views of the races and convenient access to the main stage, team areas, food vendors, beer gardens, Kids Zone, marketplace, and other festival attractions.

North Glenmore Park is easily accessible from communities throughout Calgary. Due to limited space and festival operations, public parking is not available within North Glenmore Park during the festival. Visitors are encouraged to use the designated free parking and complimentary festival shuttle services. Paddlers have commented that the reservoir is one of the best, if not the best water for dragon boating.
