18 Days to Go — and Only Two Days Left to Register Your Team!

The boats are on the water. Teams are finding their rhythm. Volunteers, performers, merchants and festival partners are getting ready.

In just 18 days, North Glenmore Park will come alive with pounding drums, powerful paddling, cheering spectators and the unmistakable energy of the 2026 Sinopec Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival.

But first, one important reminder:

Team Registration closes Thursday, July 23!

There are still spots available, but time is running out. Whether you are a community group, business, organization, club or a group of friends ready for a new challenge, this is your final opportunity to join the racing.

Picture your team at the starting line. The drummer is ready. The paddles are raised. The starter calls the boats into position.

The public Race & Festival takes place:

Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2026
North Glenmore Park
Free admission

Come experience two exciting days of dragon boat racing, cultural performances, food trucks, marketplace merchants, family activities and community celebration.

Visitors can park for free at Mount Royal University and take a free festival shuttle, or travel to Anderson Station and connect with the free shuttle to the festival.

Register your team by July 23 and get ready to race!
